Understand the Investment Before You Commit

If you are actively comparing preparation options for entrance exams like NID, NIFT, or UCEED, you will quickly notice that Design Drishti’s 1-on-1 Mentorship costs significantly more than typical group coaching programs. That price gap is clear, and you deserve to understand exactly what creates it before making any decision or financial commitment.

When an educational platform asks for a higher investment, it owes you absolute transparency about where that fee goes, how the pedagogy is structured, and what operational trade-offs are involved. We do not use manipulative discounts, sudden price drops, or pressure-driven sales tactics disguised as academic advice.

This page details every operational component of our mentorship, the mechanics of our teaching model, and the reasoning behind our fee structure so you and your family can determine whether this program aligns with how you learn best.

What Is Included in the Mentorship Program

We keep our deliverables concrete and itemized. When you enroll, your preparation is built around the following framework:

  • Strictly 1-on-1 Format: Every scheduled class is conducted individually for you — no shared group lectures, micro-batches, or peer-filled virtual classrooms.
  • Fixed Weekly Schedule: Interactive live sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Every Sunday is a dedicated test day to measure skill progression.
  • 30 to 45-Minute Sessions: Depending on the topic’s complexity — perspective drawing, spatial reasoning, or aptitude-test concepts — each session runs 30 to 45 minutes of direct, uninterrupted interaction.
  • Continuous Evaluation & Mock Exams: Structured weekly topic tests, monthly progress assessments, full-length mocks, and revision modules aligned with official exam dates.
  • Direct Daily Faculty Access on WhatsApp: Outside class slots, reach faculty directly for drawing reviews, quick feedback, and concept clarification.
  • Full Syllabus Coverage: Preparation across each exam’s actual format — GAT & CAT for NIFT, DAT for NID, and Part A & Part B for UCEED/CEED.
  • Portfolio Guidance: Strategic review, ideation feedback, and structural advice. We guide how you build your portfolio — we do not construct, draw, or fabricate it for you. Faculty-made portfolios are an unethical industry practice and are handled as a separate, specialized service if independent advisory is needed.
  • Regular Digital Study Material: High-yield practice sheets, curated resources, and structured exercises sent via WhatsApp.
  • Full Admission-Cycle Support: Form filling, document preparation, post-prelims prep (such as the NIFT Situation Test or the NID Studio Test), and final counselling rounds.

Core Pricing Policy: We maintain a strict, single-tier pricing structure. There is strictly one price for everyone, with no hidden concessions, seasonal discounts, or fee variations based on financial background or any other criteria. All fees, once paid, are non-refundable — we ask every family to be fully sure of fit before enrolling.

The Structural Difference: 1-on-1 vs Group Coaching

Understanding why this program is priced differently requires examining how traditional group coaching operates from a resource perspective.

In a standard group batch of 30 to 40 students lasting 90 minutes, simple arithmetic shows individual attention from the teacher works out to roughly 10 minutes per student per session. The remaining 80 minutes are shared across collective pacing and general lectures. For students who need deep diagnostic intervention or learn at a different pace, much of that shared time is underutilized.

Standard Group Batch
~10 Mins

Design Drishti 1-on-1
45 Mins
Dedicated attention per student

In a strictly 1-on-1 setup, the full session time belongs exclusively to one student. This changes outcomes:

Faster Gap Identification

A fundamental mistake can go unnoticed for weeks in a group until a test is graded. In 1-on-1, the mentor catches it the moment it’s made.

Customized Learning Speed

No waiting for a batch to catch up, and no rushing past a weak area because the schedule demands it.

Direct, Unfiltered Feedback

Visual design and creative aptitude can’t be judged by answer keys alone — feedback is specific to your work, not generic.

Group coaching remains a practical, economical format for many self-driven aspirants who thrive in peer environments. Our 1-on-1 model is a specialized option for students who need personalized instruction, immediate intervention, and direct feedback loops.

Why the Fee Is Structured This Way

The cost of this mentorship is tied directly to faculty time allocation. In a group setup, an institute spreads an educator’s hourly compensation across dozens of students, lowering the individual fee per seat.

In our model, an experienced faculty member’s time, preparation, and teaching capacity are dedicated strictly to you for every session. Because faculty hours can’t be split or multiplied across participants simultaneously, the cost of that individual time is supported entirely by one student.

This positions Design Drishti as a premium alternative rather than a low-cost option. That’s a deliberate, transparent trade-off. We don’t claim to be the cheapest platform, nor are we trying to enroll thousands of students simultaneously.

On the exact number: Your fee is shared during your diagnostic call, along with the optional Round 2 add-on structure — kept off this page since it’s specific to your target exam and cycle.

A Personal Note From Our Founder

When I was in 12th grade, I had a natural interest in visual arts, creative thinking, and problem-solving. However, due to a complete lack of awareness and structured guidance around me at the time, I did not even know that design education existed as a formal, professional degree path in India.

Years later, after completing my education and establishing myself professionally, I entered the design entrance domain to help students make the clear, informed decisions I never had the opportunity to make as a teenager. Over the course of my career, I worked across three to four major test-preparation institutes in India that train students for these competitive examinations.

While working inside those traditional systems, I observed consistent operational gaps — hard-working students overlooked in large batches, struggling silently with foundational drawing errors, receiving standardized feedback that rarely fixed their core weaknesses. I established Design Drishti and designed this 1-on-1 mentorship model not to build a massive enrollment funnel, but to systematically solve the exact structural limitations I witnessed on the ground.

Faculty Credibility

Our curriculum and instructional sessions are designed and led by alumni of premier design institutions like NIFT Jodhpur. Having taught across established national coaching brands and operated independent design training setups, our faculty maintains deep operational insight into the evolving evaluation standards of NID, NIFT, UCEED, and CEED.

Evaluating Fit Before You Enroll

We recognize that enrolling in a dedicated 1-on-1 mentorship requires a deliberate commitment of effort, time, and finances from your family. It is not necessary or suitable for every applicant. Before taking any decision or enrolling, we invite you to book a free 15-minute diagnostic call with our academic team. During this brief discussion, we will assess your current preparation status, review your target exams, and give you an honest evaluation of whether our 1-on-1 format is the correct strategic fit for your preparation. If we determine that a self-study schedule or a standard mock test series is sufficient for your current level, we will tell you directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the fee negotiable, or are discounts ever available?

No. We maintain a strict single-tier pricing structure — one price for everyone, with no discounts or concessions based on financial background or any other reason.

What if I’m not satisfied after starting — is the fee refundable?

All fees are non-refundable once paid. This is exactly why we recommend the free diagnostic call first, so you and your family can be confident of fit before committing.

What does the diagnostic call actually involve?

A free 15-minute conversation with our academic team to assess your current preparation level and target exams, and give you an honest read on whether 1-on-1 mentorship is the right fit — or whether self-study is enough for now.

Is portfolio-making included in the fee?

Guidance is included — feedback, structure, and direction for your portfolio. We do not create or draw portfolios for students; that’s handled as a separate, specialized service if needed.
